Private Tour Guide in Krakow - Margaret Kasprowicz

Margaret Kasprowicz

Who I am and why you should choose me as your guide

My name is Małgorzata Kasprowicz - I have been a licensed guide in Kraków since 2012. Kraków is my hometown and telling its stories is my passion. I like to combine solid knowledge with humor and anecdotes so the tour is interesting for adults and engaging for children.

I have guided several thousand visitors and led more than a thousand tours of different types - from family walks along the Royal Route, to themed routes in Kazimierz, to full-day trips outside Kraków. I hold access licenses for key museums and historic sites, which makes organizing visits for groups easier.

I take care to tailor every tour to the participants - children, seniors, school groups, companies or foreign guests. I conduct tours in Polish and in English, and for larger groups I use headset systems so everyone can hear well and focus on the story.

What I offer - most popular routes in Kraków

In my offer you will find classic routes and themed proposals - the most popular are: Wawel and the Royal Route, a walk through Kazimierz, and the "Legends Trail" ideal for families with children.

Wawel and the Royal Route are the essence of Kraków - the castle, the cathedral, the Main Market Square and tales of royal fortunes. Kazimierz, on the other hand, tells the story of Jewish heritage, with atmospheric streets and places best appreciated with cultural and culinary context.

I also offer themed tours - for example following film locations, culinary routes, or historical walks tailored to the age and interests of the group. For schools I prepare versions that keep students' attention and allow them to participate actively.

Full-day trips outside Kraków - Zakopane and other options

If you want to see the mountains and feel the Tatra atmosphere, I organize full-day trips to Zakopane. It is about 100 km from Kraków - during such a trip we visit, among others, Krupówki, Gubałówka (with the option to ride the funicular), the cemetery at Pęksowy Brzyzek, characteristic Zakopane villas, the Sanctuary at Krzeptówki and Wielka Krokiew.

A trip to Zakopane lasts the whole day and is great when you want to combine local culture with scenic views and short activities. When planning I inform about additional entrance fees or cable car costs so nothing takes you by surprise.

Beyond Zakopane I can plan trips to places such as Oświęcim or design personalized routes for companies and school groups - everything depends on time and participants' expectations.

Prices and booking rules - simple and transparent

Rates depend on the length of the tour and the group size. For small groups (1-35 people) hourly rates apply, and for larger groups the price is calculated per person. I also offer themed tours with tailored pricing and seasonal promotions - I always give the exact cost when you book.

For example, a full-day trip to Zakopane has a fixed group price. Payment is usually made in cash after the tour or by bank transfer - details are agreed when booking. I encourage booking in advance, especially in high season when dates fill up quickly.

After booking I confirm all details - meeting place and time, the proposed route, and practical information about tickets and any additional fees.

Practical tips before the tour

Where do we start? We usually meet at the Main Market Square - it is a convenient starting point, well known and easy to find. For special tours we arrange a meeting place individually.

If you plan to tour with children - let me know in advance. I adapt the pace and storytelling style, prepare shorter segments and games that help keep the youngest engaged.

The weather in Kraków can be changeable - tours usually go ahead regardless of conditions, but in case of very bad weather I alter the route to spend more time inside monuments and interiors. It is worth wearing comfortable shoes and carrying a light jacket even in summer.

What is included in the price and what is extra?

The guide service price covers my narration, leading the route and help organizing entry to sites. If headsets are needed for large groups, I can provide them for a small additional fee - this greatly improves the experience in crowded places.

Entrance fees to museums and sites (for example the cathedral, museums, the Gubałówka funicular) are usually extra and are purchased separately unless we agree otherwise. For day trips outside Kraków I inform about approximate extra costs of attractions before departure.

I will always help buy tickets and advise what is worth booking in advance to avoid queues and disappointment.

How to book a tour - contact and quick tips

The easiest way to book a tour is by phone or by e-mail. I provide phone and e-mail contacts to arrange everything quickly and stress-free - send a message with your preferred date, number of participants and the route you want, and I will reply with a proposed plan and costs.

Important: the earlier you book, the higher the chance of securing the date, especially during tourist season and long weekends. If you plan a school or corporate visit, I recommend booking well in advance.

After confirming the date you will receive from me all practical information - meeting place, a rough plan and suggestions about clothing and tickets.

Who I especially recommend my tours for

For families with children - light, humorous and with attractions that engage the youngest. For seniors - at a comfortable pace with more stops indoors. For schools - with educational tasks and engaging ways to learn history. For companies - routes adapted for team building or concise, informative city introductions.

If you want to visit Kraków with a memorable story rather than just ticking off sights from a list, my routes are for you. I focus on making visitors leave the tour smiling and with a set of memorable curiosities.

Do you have special requests? Want to tour at night, or create a private program with culinary or artistic elements - write and we will tailor a plan to your needs.

A few practical final tips - how to make the most of your tour

Arrive a few minutes before the scheduled time - this gives us time for a brief welcome and to set expectations. Carry small change for entry fees and cable cars and a phone charger - photos can drain your battery quickly.

If you want to see specific interiors (for example particular rooms at Wawel), mention this at booking - it helps with logistics and ticket reservations.

And most importantly - come with curiosity. Kraków has many layers of history, legends and flavors. Together we will make the time light, enjoyable and full of pleasant surprises.

Contact - how to arrange a meeting with me

To book a tour or ask for details, send an e-mail or call. In your message include the proposed date, number of people, language of the tour and a short note about the preferred route.

I am also happy to help organize full-day trips, group ticket reservations and programs for schools and companies. See you in Kraków!
