Private Tour Guide in Krakow - Margaret Kasprowicz

Margaret Kasprowicz

Who I am and why you should choose a guide

My name is Małgorzata Kasprowicz. I was born in Krakow and have already guided over 18,000 visitors. I hold a national licence as a Krakow guide since 2012 and I am authorised to guide in several important museum venues. Guiding the city is my passion - I enjoy telling lively, accessible stories, memorable anecdotes and engaging both adults and children.

If you come to Krakow with your family, a school group or as a VIP guest, I will help tailor the route and pace. I work with small and larger groups, I have audio-guide headsets that make visits easier in busy places, and I have experience guiding children and seniors.

My style combines solid historical knowledge with humour and practical tips so that the walk is interesting, not tiring. I offer classic routes along the Royal Route and Wawel, family trails with puzzles for children and full-day trip options, e.g. to Zakopane. Gift vouchers for a walk can be ordered as a present.

Family tours - what they look like and what to expect

Family routes are shorter, dynamic and full of curiosities and tasks for children - a proven solution if you want the youngest to stay interested throughout the walk. I propose special loops with short stops, legends and educational games - ideal for families with children of different ages.

A standard family tour lasts from 1.5 to 3 hours, but I can adjust pace and length to the group's needs. For school trips I prepare educational programmes and short activities that keep students’ attention and help them remember what they learn.

During the walk I pay attention to breaks for coffee or ice cream, locations with toilets and safe play areas - this is especially important with younger children. If you come with a stroller, I will choose a route with a minimum number of stairs and difficult sections.

Zakopane in one day - programme and what we'll see

I organise the trip to Zakopane as a full-day excursion - this is the optimal time to calmly see the most important places and feel the mountain atmosphere. The route can be adapted to your interests - from walks around town to a short cable-car ride.

A typical programme includes Krupówki - Zakopane’s most famous promenade, Gubałówka with the option to ride the funicular and a short rest at the top, the Cemetery at Pęksowy Brzyzek as an example of local culture and history, Zakopane villas (for example Koliba, Pod Jodłami) and the Sanctuary at Krzeptówki. For those interested - a ride to Wielka Krokiew or a walk around the surroundings.

Please note that some attractions require additional fees - for example: a cable car to Wielka Krokiew approx. 10–15 PLN per person, entrance to the cemetery at Pęksowy Brzyzek symbolic approx. 2 PLN per person, Gubałówka funicular approx. 15–24 PLN per person. Entrance tickets are not always included in the guiding fee - I provide details when you make the reservation.

Excursions run regardless of the weather - in case of bad conditions I adapt the route to spend more time in monuments and indoor venues. We usually agree on a meeting point in central Krakow and return the same evening.

Prices and current promotions (valid 1.10.2025 - 1.03.2026)

A seasonal promotion is currently in effect - reduced prices for the period 1.10.2025 - 1.03.2026. Example rates for Krakow tours (small groups - 1–35 people): 2 hours - 300 PLN (regularly 350 PLN), 3 hours - 400 PLN (regularly 450 PLN), 4 hours - 500 PLN (regularly 550 PLN). Each additional hour - 80 PLN (regularly 100 PLN).

For larger groups (36+ people) per-capita rates apply - for example: 2 hours 12 PLN/person (regularly 14 PLN/person), 3 hours 15 PLN/person (regularly 17 PLN/person).

Tours in English have different rates - in the promotion, for example: 2 hours 400 PLN, 3 hours 500 PLN, 4 hours 650 PLN. Audio-guide headsets are available at around 8 PLN/person to make listening more comfortable in busy times.

Prices and promotions are indicative - I always confirm the final cost when you make a reservation. Many routes also have ready-made themed variants (historical, culinary, for children) whose prices may differ.

How to book a tour and what we arrange at booking

The easiest way to book is by phone or email - phone +48 501 962 037 and email kontakt@zwiedzaniekrakowa.com. After you contact me we agree on the length of the route, the language of the tour, meeting point and time, and details concerning tickets and the group's special needs.

Most often we meet at the Main Market Square - by the Adam Mickiewicz Monument - but the starting point is chosen individually to be convenient for your day's plan. If you need an invoice, a gift voucher or an educational programme for a school, everything can be prepared at booking.

Remember that tickets to some venues (e.g. museums) are paid separately. I can help purchase them and advise when it is best to book to avoid queues.

Practical tips before the walk - what to bring and how to prepare

Clothing and shoes - there is a lot of walking in Krakow and Zakopane, so comfortable shoes are essential. For the mountains choose suitable footwear and layered clothing - the weather can change quickly.

Food and breaks - on longer routes it's a good idea to have small snacks for children. During family walks I plan stops for rest, coffee or lunch.

Strollers and accessibility - if you are coming with a stroller or a person with limited mobility, I will choose a route with fewer difficult sections. Let me know when booking.

Tickets and payments - some entrances need to be bought in advance. I can advise which tickets are worth reserving ahead of time and, for larger groups, assist with their purchase.

Safety, group comfort and additional services

Comfort is a priority for me - in larger groups we use headset sets so everyone can hear the stories without having to gather very close to the guide.

For schools and institutions I prepare programmes that meet educational requirements - with an itinerary, supporting materials and instructions for supervisors.

If you have special wishes - e.g. a culinary route, a themed walk for architecture lovers or a night tour - I will gladly prepare a personalised offer.
