You have only two hours, but you want to give your guests more than a photo in front of the Cloth Hall? This route, designed especially for business and VIP visitors, combines the most valuable experiences in a short time: compelling historical stories, unique spaces (like the Market Square Underground) and a striking contrast with the socialist-realist architecture of Nowa Huta.
It’s an ideal solution when a conference or meeting schedule doesn’t allow for a longer city break, yet you want to offer guests a coherent, elegant and memorable narrative about Kraków - told with passion but paced for discerning visitors.
The route is flexible and offered in two main versions: “Market Square Underground and Old Town” or “Nowa Huta – contrasts and everyday neighborhood life” – chosen based on group preference, meeting location and logistical time constraints.
The guide is Małgorzata Kasprowicz — a licensed Kraków guide. She has extensive experience working with individual travellers, VIPs and corporate and conference clients.
She holds permits for guiding in places such as the Market Square Underground and other city sites, which helps arrange quick and official access to places with limited entry.
Working with corporate guests means discretion, punctuality and attention to comfort - audio headset sets are available to improve listening comfort in crowded areas.
Option A – Market Square Underground + quick Old Town highlights:
- meeting point at an agreed spot on the Main Market Square or at the entrance to the Market Square Underground, a short introduction and a visit to the museum under the square where you will see archaeological layers of old Kraków and learn how city life looked since the Middle Ages;
- after leaving the Underground – a quick walk to selected Old Town sites: the Cloth Hall (Sukiennice), St. Mary’s Basilica (stories about the Veit Stoss altarpiece and city traditions), and a segment of the Royal Route with anecdotes and historical context.
Option B – Focused Nowa Huta (for those who want contrast and authentic social stories):
- arrive by tram or car to the heart of Nowa Huta – Central Square (Plac Centralny) and Aleja Róż; stories about the socialist-realist city project, its symbolism and everyday life in the PRL;
- visit the Arka Pana church and walk neighborhood streets showing architectural details, small parks and places that reveal residents’ lives today – a great option for guests who want to understand Kraków’s “other face”.
In both variants the tour is led with elegance, at a pace adapted to the group, with short photo stops and clear, comfortable commentary.
Variant A – Market Square Underground + Old Town (2 hours):
- 00:00 - 00:05 - meeting on the Main Market Square, welcome and short visit plan;
- 00:05 - 00:50 - visit to the Market Square Underground, presentation of archaeological finds and discussion of the city’s development;
- 00:50 - 01:05 - return to the surface, coffee or a quick photo stop (if the group wishes);
- 01:05 - 02:00 - selected Old Town points with anecdotes and stories — finish at a chosen spot (for example near the Cloth Hall or close to the hotel).
Variant B – Nowa Huta (2 hours):
- 00:00 - 00:05 - meeting at the agreed place (e.g. Central Square);
- 00:05 - 00:40 - stories about the birth of Nowa Huta, walks along main representative streets and squares; conversations about socialist realism and residents’ lives;
- 00:40 - 01:10 - entry into lesser-known neighborhood corners - parks, small squares, local shops and meeting places;
- 01:10 - 02:00 - time for questions, quick summary and optional gastronomic recommendations or suggestions for a longer route.
Booking and tickets - Market Square Underground: because entry is limited, it’s wise to book in advance. The guide can help with reservations and coordinate the group’s arrival time.
Travel time between Old Town and Nowa Huta: when planning a combined route remember transit time. During peak hours a tram or taxi ride may take longer than 15–20 minutes, so for a 2-hour visit we generally recommend choosing one area (Old Town with the Underground or Nowa Huta).
Accessibility and fitness: the Market Square Underground has stairs and uneven floors in places - guests with limited mobility should consult in advance. Nowa Huta is spacious and easy to walk around; still, city pavements and distances between points should be considered.
Language and listening comfort: tours can be conducted in Polish or English. For larger groups we recommend audio headset sets (available for a small fee) to ensure everyone hears comfortably.
Approximate costs: guiding fees vary by date and language. A standard 2-hour VIP programme starts in the range indicated in the guide’s offer; special entry fees to museums, Underground tickets or headset rentals may be charged separately. Contact us for an exact quote for your date and group size.
After the Old Town tour, invite guests for coffee or a light meal in an elegant central café. Trusted places around the Market include Cafe Camelot, Wentzl Restaurant and Pod Baranem — atmospheric options for a business meeting after a walk.
In Nowa Huta you can offer guests neighborhood cafes and local milk bars where they will feel an authentic taste of everyday life. These informal spots are perfect for relaxed conversations and to show the contrast between the historic centre and the socialist-realist district.
If you’d like concrete restaurant or café recommendations tailored to guests’ preferences (vegetarian, gluten-free, regional cuisine or fine dining), I will gladly prepare a list and make reservations.
Is 2 hours enough? Yes — but it’s best to focus on one area (Old Town with the Underground or Nowa Huta). Combining both can be tight; if you need both highlights, we can plan shorter “highlights” or extend the tour.
Do we need to book in advance? Definitely — especially if the Market Square Underground is on the itinerary or the group has special requirements (VIP treatment, English language, headset sets).
How many people fit in a VIP group? The VIP route is usually intimate — ideally 1–15 people depending on comfort and technical needs. For larger groups we propose a different organisation and extra technical support.
What about payment and cancellation? Payment details are agreed at booking; invoices for companies can be issued on request. For cancellations or date changes please contact us well in advance to avoid fees related to reserved entries.
Is the tour suitable for older visitors? Yes, but please inform us of any mobility limitations so we can adapt the pace and route — if needed we can modify the tour to reduce stairs and long walks.
If you want to organise a 2-hour VIP route for business guests, write or call with basic details: date, number of people, preferred language, start location (hotel/conference centre/Main Market Square) and content preferences (history, architecture, socialism, archaeology).
After receiving this information I will prepare a short offer with a timed plan, an indicative price and logistical proposals. On request I will also handle ticket and restaurant reservations so everything is ready before your guests arrive.
I will gladly tailor the programme to your group’s profile — whether managers seeking historical inspiration, a business delegation with limited time, or VIPs needing special arrangements.
Dress smartly but comfortably - business guests often expect a neat appearance, but remember there will be walking and possibly stairs.
If you plan to visit the Market Square Underground, carry an identity document — it can be useful for group reservations and ticket concessions.
Tell us in advance about special requests: private narration, extra photo time or extended discussion - all of this can be scheduled.
If you like, I can prepare a short English information pack for participants — a few slides or briefing cards with the main points of the route.
Two hours in Kraków can be extremely rewarding when the route is well planned and led by an experienced, licensed guide. The VIP programme for business guests combines professionalism, a pace adapted to listeners and stories that stay with you.
If you want to make a strong impression on your guests - choose a route designed to spark curiosity and show Kraków from a different angle: through the archaeology of the Market Square Underground or the contrasting atmosphere of Nowa Huta.
Contact me for a personalised offer — I will help tailor the route, reserve tickets and take care of every detail of the visit.
