Krakow is full of history, legends and hidden details that visitors exploring the city on their own often miss. A private guide gives you an advantage - the route is tailored to your interests, pace and available time, and stories come with context that’s easier to grasp in direct conversation.
As a licensed Krakow guide (licensed since 2012) I have led thousands of people - families with children, school groups and international tours. That experience helps me tell engaging stories, involve listeners and blend facts with memorable anecdotes.
A private guide also offers logistical convenience - help with bookings, recommendations for coffee breaks and quick solutions to unexpected situations. If you want to make the most of your time in Krakow, a private guide is a simple and effective investment.
The Market Square Underground is a unique place - a multimedia museum that tells the story of Krakow from the Middle Ages to modern times. Visiting with a licensed guide helps you understand the context of the exhibits and connect the underground story with the history of the Main Market Square above.
A standard guided route often combines Wawel, the Royal Route and the Market Square with the Underground - this gives you a fuller picture of the city, its development and the most important events. I also offer themed routes - Kazimierz, the Trail of Legends, Schindler’s Factory and tailored school or family tours.
I hold licenses for the city’s most popular museum sites, including Wawel Hill, the Market Square Underground and Schindler’s Factory, which makes planning and access easier.
My tours are dynamic, light-hearted and packed with interesting facts. I aim to tell stories so both children and adults leave the tour smiling and with new knowledge.
I adapt the pace to the group, ask questions, point out lesser-known architectural details and combine historical facts with colorful anecdotes. When needed I provide audio headset sets, which are useful for larger groups and crowded sections of the route.
If you want a themed tour (e.g., legends for children or a route focused on sacred monuments), just note it when you book and I will prepare a program to match your expectations.
Tours can be arranged for different lengths - short 1–2 hour walks or full 3–4 hour programs that combine several points. I offer tours in Polish and English.
There are tailored rates for small and large groups and the option to rent audio headsets. Prices may vary with season and promotions, so I recommend asking about current conditions when booking.
I also organize school visits, corporate programs and one-day trips outside Krakow, for example to Ojcow National Park or Zakopane.
The easiest way to book a date is through ZwiedzanieKrakowa.com or by contacting me directly by phone or email. Direct contact lets us agree on the route, time and any accessibility needs for your group.
If you have special requests (e.g., a child-friendly route, a history-focused program or accessibility needs) please write or call in advance so I can prepare appropriate materials and plan a comfortable, engaging route.
Booking in advance gives you better chances of securing the most desired dates—especially in the high season and around holidays and long weekends.
Dress comfortably - we walk a lot, often on cobblestones. In cooler months bring layers you can remove, and in summer wear sun-protective shoes and a hat.
If you plan to visit museums, ask about time for restrooms and a short break - it’s good to allow 10–15 minutes for photos and stretching your legs.
For parents with strollers or visitors with limited mobility, please discuss the route in advance - some central spots have stairs or uneven surfaces, and I can propose alternative passages.
Are the tours suitable for children? - Yes. I have experience guiding school groups and families. I prepare simpler stories, tasks and puzzles to keep the youngest engaged.
Do you provide tickets to the Market Square Underground? - I assist in planning the visit and can advise the best time to enter. For large groups it’s good to arrange this when booking.
How far in advance should I book? - The earlier the better, especially in summer. For larger groups I recommend booking several weeks ahead; for smaller groups a few days may suffice.
